Illustrated by Laura Winslow, the whimsical yet realistic enough animals help direct a New England Cottontail to find his friends. The artwork will hold a toddler's attention as you go through the pages, the storyline will hold even a preschooler's attention. But the story will also interest older children (and the reader) as they learn about various Maine animals. And then, for the oldest readers, there's a section on the end that shares information about the various animals in the book, including the cottontail.
