Rene Hersey, known locally as a superb cook, started a take out business this last summer in the closed restaurant, previously known as Auntie Em's. There Rene, aka Mrs. Beezley, a childhood nickname, cooked up delicious home cooked meals to go. When I talked to her about needing someone locally to make a smaller jar of jam for our breakfast assortments, Rene took on the project and made about 10 cases. Then we decided to also try her famous relish. The sad thing about this relish is, once you taste it, you'll never be able to use commercial relish again. It's that good.
