Another unique basket skillfully woven by Pat. It reminds me of a large fishing creel, or backpack style. Beautiful design, and colors, a light forest green and deep violet. It has a wooden base, 6 by 10 inches. It's woven 9 1/2 inches high and the top is 8 by 10 inches.
Pat Huckins is based in Greenville, on Prong Pond, and has been weaving baskets for many years. She learned to weave at a class in Hallowell and has enjoyed it ever since. She has taught many classes in the past and her favorite student and fellow weaver is her nephew Levi. Levi is a bright young man with Autism, though he does not let Autism define him. He loves to travel, surf, down hill ski, swim, and compete in Special Olympics. Levi and his Aunt Pat have started a new venture selling their baskets on Moosehead Marketplace. They hope you enjoy the baskets as much as they enjoy making them.

These baskets are incredible ! Each it’s own solid masterpiece of fine craftsmanship and detail. I’ve purchased several and given them as gifts after stuffing them with goodies and what positive responses I’ve gotten!! Made our gift giving so special . Purchased a two pie basket for myself and use it on my coffee bar to hold mugs and “stuff”. Beautiful work!
